Hello! I am a senior studying Comparative Literature, and a writer for the Harvard Crimson and member of the Radcliffe Pitches. I also perform my own music with After Hours, a funk-rock band, and July Miles, an indie duo. I’m interested in 20th century Russian literature, modernism, literary theory, and am currently preparing my thesis on the postmodern interpretations of love.
I was born in Korea, raised in New Jersey, did a three year stint at prep school in Andover, MA, attended Bard College briefly, spent two summers speaking Russian in Vermont, worked in publishing this past summer in New York City, and now live here, on the internet!

Hello, readers! My name is Trevor Martin, and I am a Visual and Environmental (studio) concentrator at Harvard College (2010). The practice that I’m currently developing through my studies is one that is mixed media and interdisciplinary; by developing various creative methodologies, I hope to examine contemporary ethical questions unique to our contemporary moment in history. I am also the project coordinator for the community arts project “A Place at the Table.” Most of my writing on the blog will be dedicated to exploring the various questions that motivate PAT and forms that the project could take. I look forward to reading your comments on my posts—please, feel free to e-mail me at tmartin@fas.harvard.edu with any questions or feedback!

Hi everyone! I’m a junior history concentrator at the college. In particular, I’m interested in studying postcolonial societies and youth culture–which is just an overly-academic way of saying that I’d like to write my senior thesis on race riots and The Clash. (Yet one more reason why I should have been alive during the 60s.)
My primary arts background is in the visual arts. I had a citation in studio drawing and painting in high school, and, while here, I try to make time for lifedrawing classes and the like. I’m also forever on the look out for anything aesthetically beautiful, quirky, thoughtful, or all three. Lately, I’ve been spending a good amount of time at the OFA, mostly taking advantage of the amazing things going on there (like BSO tickets and yummy muffins), but also working on the mammoth task of organizing ARTS FIRST weekend.
